Defining the Option Circuit Cards
The FX II’s Auxiliary circuit board accepts smaller circuit cards that mount directly onto the board.
The available circuit cards include the following:
Synchronization Card
Adjusts the E1 or T1 transmit frequency to match the frequency from the CO. The synchronization
card mounts onto the auxiliary board.
Communications Card
The optional communications card provides four serial data communication ports.
DTMF Receiver Card
The DTMF Receiver card expands the system’s industry-standard dialing capability. Each DTMF
card provides four DTMF receivers, and the system accepts a maximum of three DTMF tone cards
installed on the auxiliary board. Certain versions of the auxiliary board provide on-board DTMF
receivers, precluding the need for external DTMF receiver cards unless there is a high volume of
outside dialing by industry-standard telephones.
