IMIST-Module
The IMIST module installs inside the adjustable pedestal of specific model-types of Impact SCS
telephones. The IMIST module provides a means whereby installers can add IST equipment to
the same station port that its host telephone occupies. This additional equipment could be any
IST device from a credit card machines to a modem.
The IST module (product code IMIST–xx) consists of a circuit board with attached ribbon cable,
an AC wall transformer assembly, a rear pedestal panel with jack openings, and mounting
screws.
The IST module works in conjunction with the following listed Impact SCS telephone models
and mounts inside their existing adjustable pedestal:
8412F 12 Line Full-Duplex Large Screen LCD Speakerphone
8412S 12 Line Half-Duplex Large Screen LCD Speakerphone
8324F 24 Line Full-Duplex LCD Speakerphone
8324S 24 Line Half-Duplex LCD Speakerphone
8312S 12 Line Half-Duplex LCD Speakerphone
8212S 12 Line Half-Duplex Speakerphone
8212N Multiline Proprietary Telephone
8201N Single Line Proprietary Telephone (see note)
The DXP Plus with IST module support and the FX systems consider any IST equipment that
you connect through the IST module to be a unique additional IST station port with a full range
of features. Therefore, you can program the station parameters for the connected IST equipment
just as you would program the parameters for any other system-supported IST port.
The IST module is fully operational with the FX systems, and the FX systems supports
simultaneous operation of the connected IST equipment and the host digital telephone.
To be operational with the DSU II, the DXP, and the DXP Plus systems, the IST module requires
common equipment configurations as detailed in the following chart:
