Toll Restriction Programming

Step 1 - Program the Restricted Numbers – You must enter the telephone numbers that

will have restriction applied to the toll restriction table.

Step 2 - Program the Toll Groups – When users dial a restricted number, the line they

select must also be restricted. You must assign these lines to Toll Groups and then assign

those toll groups to the restricted number on the restriction table. Lines not assigned to toll

groups are not restricted.

Step 3 - Program the Restriction Level – Station users are restricted from dialing if their

Restriction Level (assigned in their C.O.S.) is less than the restriction level set on the

restriction table. You must first set the Restriction Level on the restriction table. Then,

assign a Restriction Level to a class of service and assign that class of service to the station.

You may assign restriction levels 1 – 8 or allow all or deny all. For dialing to be allowed,

the station’s restriction level must be equal to or greater than the level set on the restriction

table.

Step 4 - Program the Exception Number – By assigning Exception Numbers, stations can

be allowed to dial numbers they are normally prevented from dialing because of their

restriction levels. Assign an Exception Number to the individual station and then assign the

same Exception Number to the restricted number entry on the restriction table. For dialing to

be allowed, the station exception number must match the exception number on the restriction

table.

With the Toll Restriction feature, the system allows or

denies outgoing line calls to selected users over selected

lines.
